English for Pilots, Helicopter Pilots, Operators and Engineers

Seven years ago, EJO initially designed a teaching module based on its highly successful 1:1 English Home Lesson programme for qualified helicopter pilots from the Dax and Le Luc divisions of the French Airforce.  The unique combination of intensive 1:1 tuition focussed entirely in the needs of the individual with the cultural and linguistic benefits of living in the home of the instructor, provide the student with a TOTAL IMMERSION in the target language which cannot be achieved in a normal classroom environment.

We are pleased now to be working with Oxfordshire based specialists Helimetrics Ltd.  Helimetrics Ltd, lead by their Director John Osmond, are experts in the Helicopter industry, providing technical, commercial and training support for public and private bodies considering helicopter acquisition.  Working exclusively with the experts at Helimetrics  we have developed a new teaching module centred on the Gazelle helicopter in the training role.  This aims to improve the trainee's basic knowledge of English whilst also improving the trainee's command of aeronautical terminology.

The course combines visits to operational helicopter bases for hands on tuition and simulations using real RT transmissions to improve pilots' comprehension of spoken English in life like operational situations.  The training module can be adapted to suit the requirements of pilots of fixed wing aircraft both military and civil.
