Steyning, Brighton - Homestay
The Village
The picturesque village of Steyning lies a short distance from the sea at Shoreham, within easy reach of the vibrant town of Brighton, the quiet beauty of the South Downs and the stunning vistas of the High Wield. 14th and 15th Century timber framed houses line the High Street and its very own museum celebrates the crafts and industries of the area and traces its history back to Norman ancestry.
The Course Centre
Tuition takes place in the Steyning Centre, a modern building on the edge of the village with bright, airy rooms and ample grassy areas for relaxation nearby.
Activities and Excursions
Steyning is ideally situated for staff-accompanied nature trails on the Sussex Downs and other activities may include picnics, swimming in the recently opened pool, indoor sports at the refurbished Sports Centre and a lighthouse visit. Full-day excursions will include Portsmouth, London and Legoland.
Accommodation
Many of our host families are situated within walking distance of the tuition premises. Students aged 12 years and under will be accommodated in pairs, or with a group leader, and will be well supervised at all times, making Steyning a safe and secure environment for younger children.
