The Town

Southwick is a lively holiday centre, close to the popular seaside city of Brighton. The local area provides a safe and secure environment for young students. A short bus journey takes you to Brighton with its excellent shopping, cinemas, theatres, discos and facilities for every imaginable sport. Brighton is truly exciting, its streets always filled with young people enjoying themselves!

The Course Centre

Lessons take place in The Southwick Community Centre. The Centre has pleasant rooms set around a tranquil courtyard garden. A nearby sports centre and a large park provide additional facilities for afternoon activities.

Activities and Excursions

Brighton offers endless possibilities to have fun and enjoy the benefits of sand, sea and fresh air. Our students can make the most of the summer sun with beach volleyball, watersports and beach barbecues, as well as indoor activities like ten-pin bowling, swimming and the Sea-Life Centre. There are shopping opportunities in the 17th century "Lanes" and history at the famous Royal Pavillion, built in the grand oriental design of John Nash and completed in 1823 for George IV.

The programme also includes full-day excursions to places of historic or cultural interest such as Portsmouth, Windsor and Canterbury. London, of course, is always included.

Accommodation

The majority of our host families live in Southwick, Shoreham and Portslade and are carefully chosen for their ability to provide students with a comfortable and friendly home during their stay. Our students will have a short walk or bus journey (at extra cost) to the school.

What's included in the price?

• Full-board family accommodation
• 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week (15 hours) on 4 mornings per week
• Full-day staff-accompanied excursions: 1 mid-week + 1 on Saturday (except departure Saturday). Full-day London excursion always included, with a major attraction such as Mme. Tussauds, London Eye, London boat cruise, Tower of London
• Activities per week: 4 + 1 evening

At extra cost: Airport transfers / Local transport
