University of Greenwich, London Adult Learners’ Course
The Course Centre
Specially designed for adult learners, this course is based at the popular University of Greenwich, in the residential suburb of Eltham. The College is set in a beautiful environmentally-protected landscape within easy reach of Central London (just a half-hour train or coach journey), with its unrivalled possibilities for sightseeing, visiting museums, art galleries, concert halls, theatres and, of course, superb shopping. It is the perfect place for adult students to combine an intensive English language course with a holiday in the UK.
Tuition
In small, manageable classes of up to 12, this carefully designed course is aimed at adult learners and combines more formal lessons on grammar and vocabulary with informal Active English Practice sessions. During these sessions students consolidate and develop their skills in situations aimed at maximising opportunities for speaking, listening and understanding. The common language is of course English, so students are further motivated to learn in order to communicate with their new friends.
Towards the end of the course, we help students to work out ways in which they may continue to progress their English after they return home.
Activities and Excursions
A weekly full-day staff-accompanied excursion to one of the UK’s most beautiful cities, such as Canterbury, Oxford and Cambridge is included. We also provide a week-end travel card to allow students to make the most of their free time exploring all the Capital has to offer. There will be two staff-accompanied afternoon trips to London per week and one evening theatre visit every two weeks. Optional evening activities will also be available on campus.
