The Town

Rickmansworth is connected to the London Underground network giving access to all the sights and sounds of Central London in just 30 minutes. Heathrow Airport is only 18 km away and the journey takes 30 minutes by coach.

The Course Centre

An ideal location for 12- 17 year olds, the school is situated in 315 acres of rolling countryside yet is a 10 minute walk from the local market town of Rickmansworth. Rickmansworth School is one of Britain's most prestigious private girls boarding schools. It has excellent recreational facilities including an indoor swimming pool and a modern sports hall with a huge range of indoor sports including basketball, tennis, squash and badminton. Outside there are acres of playing fields, sports pitches and ample tennis courts for our students to use.

Activities and Excursions

A rich staff-accompanied programme provides a well-balanced combination of English language tuition, sports and recreational activities and excursions to London and other popular destinations, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Windsor.

Accommodation

We offer a choice of well-appointed sleeping accommodation in comfortable single or small multi-bedded rooms, or dormitories, with ample bathroom/shower facilities. Each of the seven houses has a common room, equipped with TV, video and, in some cases, table tennis and pool tables for students to use.

• 22 lessons of 45 minutes per week (16 1/2 hours) on 4 mornings and 2 afternoons per week
• Full-day staff-accompanied excursions: 1 mid-week + 1 on Saturday (except departure Saturday). Full-day London excursion always included, with a major attraction such as Mme. Tussauds, London Eye, London boat cruise, Tower of London
