Who is this Course For?

This course is for parents who want to be totally confident that their child will be well cared for and closely supervised, not only during lessons, but at all other times too.

Booking a ten to sixteen-year old on any type of stay abroad is a most significant event, both for you and for your child.

Teachers who host young learners are selected most carefully and are extremely well suited to looking after the children who stay with them. Very often, they have young families of their own.

We know that, as well as offering quality teaching, they provide the care and supervision to which we all attach so much importance.

What happens during my lessons?

Our host teachers are experienced in working with young people. Lessons are varied and interesting, combining more formal and disciplined work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, stress and intonation with a variety of other enjoyable, less formal learning activities. Great importance is attached to varying pace and activity, and to maintaining your child's interest and motivation at as high a evel as possible.

During the first lesson, our host teacher carefully assesses your child's language learning needs through an English test and through questioning and discussion. Our host teacher plans and works through a course designed to respond to your child's individual profile of needs.

Children have a particular capacity for learning and a one-to-one Young Learners' course really can make a difference for life.

At the same time, learning can be fun. An EJO Young Learner's course is fun!
